Having been bereaved personally by suicide, Melanie has spent the last 10+ years working to support individuals and communities around Suicide Prevention and Suicide Bereavement.
As well as supporting individuals, Melanie also works with a number of partners across the UK to improve both National and Regional
Suicide and Self-harm strategies. These include NHS, Council, workplaces, education setting, prisons, community groups and more.
Melanie is currently consulting with organisations, to help improve their policies and procedures to ensure adequate safeguarding around Self-harm and Suicide.
She is one of around 300 UK wide /7,000 worldwide ASIST accredited trainers. (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training by LivingWorks)
Melanie has developed a vast range of mental health training and a range of packages to meet structured organisational needs to build staff confidence around suicide.These can be found under our training section.

Tracy has over 15 years project management experience working across a range of sectors including manufacturing, IT, education and luxury retail.
Tracy is passionate about blending her professional experience with her lived experience of suicide bereavement, in order to help the Violet Project support those who need it.
Having attended face to face and online support groups over the past 3.5 years, she knows how crucial and invaluable suicide and mental health support is for people.
At the start of 2022 Tracy completed her ASIST and Mental Health First Aider training.
Tracy is often told that she has a laugh that makes others smile, and the skill of not just hearing what people are saying but the power of truly listening and digesting before responding.
Hanka has extensive experience in working with vulnerable and at risk clients.
She worked in a specialist college for 11 years, managing a house where young people with disabilities were learning independent living skills, whilst studying at college.
Hanka decided to be a stay at home mum to look after her two amazing girls.
She has lived experience around Suicide and is looking to support the community in preventing ill health.
Hanka is currently working towards her counselling qualification to enable her to support those in need.
Shaheer works within an academic setting and understands the need to support the well being of students and staff.
He regularly supports those bereaved by suicide and personally understands the impact of losing someone.
He is a massive advocate for encouraging men to open up and talk.
When he isn't helping at Violet Project, you will struggle to find him as he is off travelling the UK with his Drone.

Louise has over 20 years experience working within the prison service to support offenders and uphold the justice system.
She understands the impact on families, friends and individuals who are sentenced and ensure support is offered to the wider community. She has personal and professional experience around Suicide and Self-harm.
She is keen to support those who have left a setting, supporting community service and community sentencing.
Cashain has over 20 years experience of working within the Health and Social care sector.
He has overseen multi-million pound Health contracts and certainly knows how to ensure business continuity.
Cashain oversees our governance, whilst ensuring all our policies and procedures are up to date.
He is the navigator of all the paperwork which then allows the team to do what they do best!
Mark has over 20 years experience working within the justice system. He has responded to many people in crisis, supporting those bereaved and those affected by some atrocious crimes.
He has experience of working with individuals at risk of Suicide and their nexk of kin. He also has lived experience of Suicide loss and understands our aims.
He is currently working to reduce crime by working with youngsters who have just entered the justice system and supporting positive life choices.
When not working, he is spending time with his family and playing practical jokes.
